What is PayPal and why PayPal
PayPal: is a service that allows you to accept credit cards, PayPal and other local payment methods depending on the buyers country such as Venmo, iDEAL, Bancontact, Sofort. It also offers financing to some buyers. As soon as the buyer finishes the payment, the money becomes available into your PayPal account which is transferable to your bank account or could be debited in different methods.
It is very easy to obtain a standard PayPal account and it can be done online in few minutes.
Buyers can pay with a credit card or debit card without having a PayPal account, or they can pay using their PayPal account. PayPal also offers financing and paying with Venmo or local payment methods.
PayPal gives extra security to the user as PayPal will not share the credit card information with the website owner or merchant (you) and hence an informed internet users may prefer to use this option for better security.
PayPal offers service in many countries and currencies. So for some countries, PayPal may be the only available payment processor.
You can use PayPal by itself, or you can offer PayPal alongside one traditional card processor. In this case the buyer gets to choose if they want to pay with PayPal or directly on your site.

How to Integrate with Your Site
- Go to Control Panel > Account & Settings > Payment Processor.
- Click PayPal from the processor buttons at the top of the page.
- If your country supports the new PayPal integration, click the PayPal connect button and sign in to your PayPal business account or sign up for a new one. PayPal opens in a secure popup and returns you to Ticketor when setup is completed.
- If the legacy PayPal API panel is shown for your country or account, enter the API username, API password, and API signature from your PayPal business account, then save.
- After PayPal is connected, verify that the PayPal button shows as connected on the Payment Processor page and make a test purchase.
